Leading the Journey with Agency

Launching Pathways and Leveraging Skills

In Grades 11–12, students move from exploring possibilities to actively preparing for postsecondary pathways. They refine goals, build professional portfolios, and complete applications for college, scholarships, military service, apprenticeships, or employment. Experiences such as job shadows, mock interviews, and capstone projects sharpen their readiness for real-world expectations.

Immersive opportunities including internships, entrepreneurship ventures, client-connected projects, CTE or dual-credit coursework, and industry-recognized credentialing allow students to apply their skills in authentic settings. These experiences help them step into their future pathways with purpose, confidence, and agency.

Investigating Issues and Leading Change

Students use interdisciplinary thinking to analyze complex local and global issues where environmental, social, economic, and civic systems intersect. They explore questions of equity, sustainability, and community well-being through research, data, and critical inquiry.

Field studies, community research, advocacy efforts, and policy discussions deepen their understanding of how systems operate and where they can be strengthened. Students design, test, and present solutions to authentic audiences, taking on meaningful leadership roles within their school or community.

Using Creative Expression to Influence and Impact

Grades 11–12 students harness creativity as a powerful tool for communication and change. Through design thinking, media production, storytelling, public art, and interdisciplinary projects, they learn how creative expression can shape public dialogue and influence decision-making.

Students integrate creativity into fields such as entrepreneurship, social innovation, technology, and community development. Their work culminates in public exhibitions, digital platforms, performances, and collaborative campaigns with artists, designers, cultural institutions, or community partners, mirroring professional creative practice.
