CIPHER Cybersecurity Program

All students must meet the following requirements to apply:

• Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
• Cumulative attendance rate of 90% or higher
• Completion of one LPS Computer Science course
• Must be a  Junior or Senior in the fall of 2026
• Must be on track to graduate
• Must demonstrate some level of college coursework ability by successfully completing any AP/Dual Credit  course or via College Placement test scores
• Must have interest in the cyber security field
• Completion of both the LPS and William Jewell College applications

• This program is delivered via Google Coursera and the William Jewell College (WJC) learning management system, Brightspace.
• Consists of college level coursework taught via the Coursera app and instructors from William Jewell.
• Students in this program will complete 8-college credit hours of virtual coursework through WJC (3 hours the first semester and 5 hours the second semester).
• Specific courses in this program will be awarded high school credit as well.

• Earn your Google Cybersecurity Certificate to be workforce ready.
• Dual enrollment opportunity: Earn 8 college credits by completing these courses from cybersecurity experts over two semesters:
  • CYB110 - Google Cyber Certificate (3 credits)
  • CYB115 - Exploratory Internship (1-2 credits)
  • CYB120 - Applied Cyber (3 credits)
• Internship with Hilltop Technologies to gain real world experience
• Participate in simulations hosted in cyber analyst sandbox environment. 

The CIPHER program is provided at no cost to students.
